Suede

Henrietta is a hedgehog. Although she may be a bit prickly on the outside she is sweet on the inside. Henrietta Was born in the Spring of 2020. Her favorite foods are junebugs and cicadas, but she will settle for cat food if the bugs aren’t in season. 
She loves playing hide and seek with her Mom (minus the seek)  and running nighttime marathons.

Suede, an electric blue crayfish, originally from Florida was part of the Happy Kids critter family from 2020 - 2023.   He was named Suede after the song 'Blue suede Shoes.' Unfortunately, Suede passed on April 14, 2023. He is deeply missed and buried under a rock around an area of bluebonnets in the backyard.

Bastion

Bastion was our original Happy Kids critter. Bastion is a Mississippi Map turtle. Bastion was adopted from a family who were no longer able to take care of him.  Unfortunately, we aren't sure how old Bastion is but expect to have many more years with him. Bastion loves to eat freeze-dried shrimp. He spend his days sunning on his rocks or swimming around the tank.  He hates getting bathed and his nails done but other than that is a happy go lucky kind of guy.
