Courtney joined the Happy Kids team in 2013. Her love for children started when she was a nanny for a family throughout high school. During college, Courtney worked with children with autism in a variety of different classroom settings until she graduated in 2011 from Texas State University with a degree in elementary education.  After graduation she taught 4th grade at Killeen ISD until her path led her to Happy Kids.  Courtney plans to obtain a Master’s degree and take the coursework required to be eligible to sit for the BCBA exam.  Courtney loves to be outdoors, attending music festivals, visiting with family but most of all spending time with her fiancé, Matt and son, Jaxon.
Pat began his journey with Happy Kids in 2010 when he was first introduced to behavior analysis. Pat is from Houston, Tx and has always had a heart for children, whether it be through coaching, counseling or teaching Sunday school.  Pat’s love for children with autism continues to grow and he considers himself lucky to be able to aid in impacting the lives of the child​ren he works with and their families.  Pat graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2012. He and his wife, Laura, currently live in Temple, TX and are planning to start a family of their own in the near future.

Ashley Pechal, RBT

Ashley graduated from Belton High School in 2004 and started taking courses at Temple College in 2008.  Ashley joined the Happy Kids team in 2012 and has successfully completed 500 hours of ABA training.  Inspired by her passion of working with children with autism, Ashley is looking into furthering her education in applied behavior analysis (ABA). She enjoys being outdoors either at the lake and/or hiking, listening to music and most of all spending time with her friends and family.
